Its A Girl

So Yesterday we were working on our house and Markie was wandering around the pond when he comes around the house into my room were I am calmly working and starts screaming, "There's a turtle". We of course came running to sure enough see a turtle digging a hole with its head out. Man this turtle had sharp looking claws. But since it was digging a hole we figured it was a lady turtle. Her new name is Susanna Turtle Barkley. As named by Markie. So welcome to the fam.

Our House

Our house in the middle of the street.. just kidding. So far the house was going 25 miles per hour, but now they seem to get the idea, and we are now going to be painting this week and weekend. I am so excited. I am doing a Cream base color and then some baby blue and a new chestnut color. It is soooo purtty. Im excited, I dont know how many times I can saY it.

So last week Stephanie came over and visited. All of the kids had a blast. Stephanie slept on one of our air mattress the first night, then I brought my bed out the next day. Stephanie gave me the puppy eyes and so I gave her my bed and I slept on the air bed. That morning I woke up and it felt like I was sleeping on the floor, my air bed deflated. Then as you can see on my moms profile that all of us kids slept in the front room. The funniest story that week : this was a conversation between Stephanie and I. "Steph I really dont like to look at your feet, can I PLEASE sleep by your head, so I can talk to you?" "No because if mom takes a picture of us we wont be zig zag." "Please, she doesnt even do that anymore" "You would be surprised." And sure enough our mom took pictures of us sleeping and sure enough we are zig zaged.

Trek

June 16-19 2008

June 16- I woke up at about 5:30 and got ready. Then I arrived at the church to be taken over to our meeting spot which was about 30 to 45 minutes away. Once we were at the meeting spot called Iowa City, we found our families and handcarts. Then we started our trek. It was okay for awhile then we got to a huge dip, the dip wasn't as hard as we thought it would be, but then we came to a HUGE hill. To an ant it would have been like a mound of dirt. Im not kidding you it took us about an hour to get up that thing. Then after that we followed a trail then got lost and went 2 extra miles onto our 7 miles. Then once we got to our camp we had chili and deep fryed cornbread. You can bet I sleep good that day.



June 17-Today was the longest day on the trek and the worst day on the trek. To make it all worse the wind was wipping up the sand into your eyes. Then at Moutain Ridge we said a prayer for the lord to help us get up the hill and give us the strength to go on. It was so cool because asll of the other handcarts were stopping half way and stopping at the top of the hill but we didnt even stop once and we knew that we had been helped. Thats basicaly all for that day. Then we made camp and ate potatoe soup and then had a hoedown. Which I did not attend because there was a shortage of boys =[.



June 18- I was just like any other Trek day but then I forgot that the boys were leaving to join the mormon battalion, and that the girls had to go up on a big hill and go on the ridge of the hill to meet the guys. The girls in our handcart were beasts and we made it up the hill with out the boys help obviously. Today we had a lot of exciting things happening every step we took. And halfway to Zion there was a River that was leach infested but as you see we didnt go through it, we had a barge take us to the other side. Then finaly we made it to Zion with a 15 minute wait because they were ready for us. Our company was just to fast for them. Once we got into Zion we made camp and went to bed.

June 19- We woke up then packed up and made breakfast, then they had a few games for us to play in the center of camp. Then after lunch We made our 30-45 minute drive home. Where I had to call my mom and make sure she was picking me up, I think she forgot. Anyway then I was starving and pooped, so we went to Taco Bell got some food and went to the house. Oh my goodness, they should be done with that thing already. Then we went home and I went to bed and then showered up. I forgot how good it was like to have a shower and a toilet.

Summer!!!

I cant wait till summer!! I think there are a least 3 more school days left not including the weekend. I am sooooo excited to see what my grades are at the end of the year. I hope they are all c's and above so that I can do drivers ed over the summer and get a car and my permit.
=] But I cant help be feel stressed because I have to get all of my finals done in the last 3 days. And right now I have to make up a few assingments because I have been gone a couple of days. But I have been getting those assingments in so I think Im set, but Im not so sure.

Well anyway cant wait till summer......

So I bet you heard but my Aunt Stef is having yet another baby. Im so excited for her! So I have thought up a couple of names for Stefs baby and think that Aden Lee is cute but Im still coming up with more names just gotta put my thinking cap on.
Any other names post them up.

Our Little Road Trip

So today at around 12:30 we as in the family took a road trip. At first Im not going to lie I though that I would hate it and regret going, but it was suprisingly fun. We drove not having a plan of where we where going but just drove and went to Walla Walla. Then mom realized that Blue Wood was close by so we went up to Blue Wood and took some pictures of us kids playing around in the snow, yes i said in the snow it was about
45 degrees and there was still snow on the ground up in there . I dont have the camera so you will have to go look on moms profile. After playing Lewis and Clark with Sacagawea ( Emme being Lewis, Mark being Clark, and me being Sacagawea or as dad says "sack of jujus") and dropping my friend the non flying Lady Man Bug off we headed home. By the time we headed home it was 4:15 and 98 degrees. We being us kids had been in the car for at least 2 to 3 hours, so you can guess you got a little rowdy. Okay I admit we got really rowdy. Once we got home we were tired but us kids wanted to swim so we went swimming for about a hour. Thats pretty much our whole day, thats all for today. In A While Crocadile
